These exFAT implementations are based on Paragon’s experience in hard disk management, cross-platform file systems, and partitioning technologies, which began in 1997 by implementing NTFS for Microsoft DOS. Paragon Software has developed exFAT implementations for various platforms since 2011, under an agreement with Microsoft.
